Matija Ferlin
Un-education
workshop
Ferlin's workshop will focus on the exploration of the system that is
based on both the aforementioned premises and also on the idea that the
body as such is devoid of all concepts of prior dance knowledge and
that morphology of a body without (prior) knowledge is possible to be
translated into a developed body of an active dancer. The workshop will
provide different methods and ways on "how to un-educate the body" and
therefore it is meant for participants with a certain level of dance
education and dance technique.
Please send applications with short biographies to info@emanat.si.
Price: EUR 30.
Organised by: Emanat Institute. In collaboration with Balkan Dance Platform, Exodos Ljubljana.

Between Exposition and Resolution
dramaturgy workshop
... data base and narrative are natural enemies. – Lev Manovich: The Language of New Media
Grounding description and narrative, bodily movement and spatial
move, scruples and contemplation of works of art lead to tension, which
in turn leads to riddles and paradoxes, recursive loops and systemic
paradoxes.
The two-day workshop will focus on decomposition and analysis of
individual examples of theatrical narrative and choreographic procedure,
and on the principles of film editing. The participants will in groups
practice with textual and/or dance material and analyse the chosen
(non)narrative modules.
Welcome are all who are interested in performing art, cinematography,
sound art, performance, digital art, interactive and locative media.
